Casa Le Mezzane - Who we are
News: from June until mid-September will open a small pool situated in a large grassy area
Just two kilometres away there are ample sports facilities including a tennis court and football fields. Excursions by mountain-bike are possible. In the heart of this unique natural setting in a sunny spot, there is a rustic farmhouse Casa Le Mezzane which slleeps eight with a porch and wood-oven.
There are four rooms ( a living-room with an open fireplace, a kitchen and two double bed-rooms each with a double bed and set of bunk beds) besides a bathroom with shower and hot running water-all furnished in rustic style.
The property is surrounded by fruit-trees, isolated from the main road but with private access and perking facilities. From here it is possible to reach various places marked by C.A.I. (Italian Alpine Centre) in the Italian Touring Guide among these: Campo all’Orzo, the summit of Matanna, the summit of Monte Croce, Refuge Forte dei Marmi, Mount Prana, Fornovolasco, the Grotta del Vento, Stazzema and Cardoso.

We are mountain lovers, members of C.A.I. (Italian Alpine Centre) and we know how to move around in this area. For several years Le Mezzane has been our retreat far from the town surrounded by the verdant silence of the woods. "Le Mezzane", as our farmhouse is called, lies half way down a hill. The windows look out over a beautiful green valley with walnut and chestnut trees against which stands out "Mount Piglione".
Le Mezzane stands above the other houses and gets plenty of sun from morning to evening. On the maps it is almost impossible to find and "this is what gives it its appeal" far from the traffic and the humdrum of modern life.
